Mary Lou Trinkwon

Jacquard Loom weaving was invented by Joseph Marie Jacquard in 1801. He developed this as a way to make the weaving of intricate designs mostly brocades, easier. Today there are still working looms that use the punch card method, but I use a computer assisted loom made by AVL. My work uses the loom to render images and text, in a way that multi-harness looms cannot.
